The spacious homes of Sonoma at 3555 Westminster Highway, Richmond, reflect traditional architectural forms drawn from Richmond's own coastal heritage, married with a distinct contemporary look. The exterior colour scheme with its traditional siding and sidewall shingles, is reminiscent of the natural weathered look of maritime architecture.
An extraordinary location, coupled with contemporary design make Sonoma the ideal home for those who embrace an active lifestyle. A Club House which is open daily from 6:30 to 22:00, provides access to on-site amenities such as a Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Changing Rooms, Function Room, Meeting Room and an Exercise Room equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical trainer, rower, and more.
Trees, shrubs, shaded walkways and a pool give our community a sense of calm and tranquility.
Sonoma is close to everything Richmond has to offer including two elementary schools — Spul'u'Kwuks Elementary and Quilchena Elementary, a secondary school — the JN Burnett, as well as other facilities such as the Thompson Community Centre, Quilchena Golf and Country Club, and Terra Nova Rural Park.

Just outside Sonoma's gatehouse, the Terra Nova lands offer a natural retreat. Abundant wildlife and native plants provide a visual feast as you stroll along the dyke. Or venture a little further, perhaps on your bicycle, to explore the historical fishing village of Steveston, to browse in its shops, and to buy fresh seafood.
According to the City of Richmond website, “Terra Nova Rural Park is a 63 acre city-wide nature park in the Thompson area with historic buildings, a community garden and a picnic area. The park has excellent habitat for birds and other wildlife in the area. Boardwalks, slough and viewing platforms are available for enhanced park visibility and access.”
“The innovative Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment is a play experience unique to the Lower Mainland. It is the result of an extensive and highly successful community planning process, and reflects the agricultural traditions of the area and complements the City’s growing collection of innovative parks.”
